Twinjet Aircraft Sales Limited is one of Europe’s leading providers of private aviation services.

Hardware Background

They were using a Windows 2000 Server for all user access along with file and print with VPOP as their E-Mail server.  There was no mailbox synchronisation due to VPOP and VPN remote access to the Terminal server was unreliable.

Initial Solution

Networx-IT Solutions implemented a new Windows 2003 SBS server with RAID and UPS.  VPOP was replaced with Exchange server 2003 and provides full mailbox synchronicity.  Configured the SBS server for Remote Web Workplace (RWW) access along with Outlook Web Access (OWA).  Upgraded the Terminal server to Windows 2003 Standard server and configured remote users access.

Ongoing Solutions

There has been on-going improvements and additions to the network with the inclusion of 2 other sites which are linked via VPN by use of SonicWALL’s.  E-Mail is now being routed through Webroot’s Software as a Service (SAAS) for the cleansing and removal of SPAM.  Twinjet now has 2 ADSL lines at the Head Office and the main SonicWALL has the facility for WAN failover.

Result

Networx-IT Solutions Limited now provides support for the network, server and client PC’s on an AD-Hoc basis.
