Easystart Limited is an Independent Wholesalers and Distributors of all types of Batteries to Mainland UK and Ireland.

Hardware Background

They are using a Windows 2003 SBS Server (server upgrade software) with 8 clients connecting using Windows XP Pro Edition Workstations and Windows Vista Business Laptop.  Disk space and RAM was at a premium and the server did not have any RAID set (single drive).  Because of the age and poor configuration of the server it server had to be upgraded.

Initial Solution

Networx-IT Solutions implemented a new Windows 2003 SBS server with RAID supplied by HP.  New Windows 2003 SBS server software was obtained and installed on the new server.  All data, mailboxes and applications were transferred to the new server.  Configured the 8 Workstations in the new Client/Server Domain environment.  Installed and configured a new networked printer and also updated their existing perimeter security with a SonicWALL TZ180.

Result

Overall, there has been a significant improvement for reliability, service and productivity.
