Brunches Limited is a supplier of quality sandwiches and buffets in the Milton Keynes area.

Hardware Background

They were using a Windows 2000 Server for all user access along with file and print with VPOP as their E-Mail server.  There was no mailbox synchronisation due to VPOP and no remote access to the network.

The server was old and could not be upgraded and as such could not provide a suitable platform to build on new software improvements and also company expansion.

Initial Solution

Networx-IT Solutions implemented a new Windows 2003 SBS server with RAID and UPS.  VPOP was replaced with Exchange server 2003 and provides full mailbox synchronicity.  Configured the SBS server for Remote Web Workplace (RWW) access along with Outlook Web Access (OWA).  This then led the way for the new Sage 200 software to be installed.

Result

Overall, there has been a significant improvement for reliability, service and productivity.  It is also future proofed the network for the foreseeable future.
